NEW – Shop Local Sask

“Together, we can ensure Saskatchewan’s economy flourishes.”

Shopping locally usually means going store to store to discover product, but it’s not possible to explore local products outside of your local area. By connecting local Saskatchewan vendors to customers across the province we can immediately increase their sellable market and discovery of products. Shop Local Sask as created an e-commerce platform that connects local business owners and customers, across Saskatchewan, with a seamless one-stop-shop shopping experience! …think of it as “Saskatchewan’s Amazon”!

This holiday season, RDBID has partnered with Shop Local Sask to trial the platform with our downtown members. The monthly subscription costs and resources will be billed directly to and covered by RDBID. Once the trial period is complete, the participating businesses will provide feedback regarding their experience. If the consensus is positive, RDBID will continue the monthly subscription for all participating businesses, including any additional downtown members who would be interested in joining throughout 2021.

NEW – Spothot

We have partnered with the mobile app provider Spothot, a software solution app for end-users to view food, drink and event specials in real-time! This software not only caters to the restaurant and bar establishments but also eventually farmers markets, and local popup events.

Over the course of 3 months (November 2020 – January 2021), we plan to trial the software with fifteen food and beverage businesses. The monthly subscription costs will be billed directly to and covered by RDBID. Once the trial period is complete, the participating businesses will provide feedback regarding their experience. If the consensus is positive, RDBID will continue the monthly subscription for all participating businesses, including any additional downtown food and beverage businesses who would be interested in joining throughout 2021. Spothot app goes live November 2020!
